" Joe & Me"
Oil on Canvas, 24x30 inches, Framed
The inspiration for the painting was taken from an old photo taken on June 16, 1941 with Cleveland in Yankee Stadium. It was the eve before Joe DiMaggio made his 29th consecutive hit ti tie the Yankee streak. DiMaggio continued to hit in 56 consecutive games,
a record that still stands today.

Using artistic license , Arata has placed Joe in the Joe DiMaggio
Playground, surrounded by North Beach kids and other
San Francisco baseball celebrities

This painting will be up for auction
